According to the PMA, HB10-1193 will now become a bill solely focused on collecting use tax, and nothing to do whatsoever with affiliates. Hopefully the same thing can be accomplished around the country when these Bills are proposed. A big thank you should go out to the PMA and Fight Against the Advertising Tax. Have a look at the amended version of HB10-1193.

Hybryd Ads attended the rally to Fight the Colorado Affiliate Tax (HB10-1193) on January 27th.

Hybryd joined with other networks, the organizers, and many of Colorado’s finest affiliates to show our solidarity against this issue.

It is estimated that as many as 150 impassioned people came together for the hearing. Though we all made our presence known, it was not enough to sway all of the necessary minds, HB10-1193 passed with a 6 to 5 vote.

There is a renewed sense of urgency as HB10-1193 has passed in the House with a vote of 33 yes to 32 No on February 1st. The Bill will move to the Senate committee this week. Overstock had previously announced that they will no longer work with affiliates from Colorado and other Merchants are sure to follow.
